Children’s Mental Health Week (Feb 3-9, 2025)
– “Know Yourself, Grow Yourself”
Our children need safe, inclusive spaces where they can express themselves, explore their emotions, and develop their unique identities without fear or judgement.
This year’s theme encourages self-awareness and resilience, helping children understand their emotions, strengths, and challenges. Let’s create environments—at home, in schools, and in communities—where every child feels seen, heard, and valued.
Ways to support children’s mental well-being:
– Encourage open conversations about emotions.
– Help them recognise their strengths and set goals.
– Foster diverse and inclusive spaces where all identities are respected.
– Teach coping skills and problem-solving strategies.
– Prioritise self-care, mindfulness, and healthy habits.
With increasing reports of child and adolescent mental health struggles, including suicide, we must listen without judgement, offer support, and build resilience together.
Let’s make this week one of healing, understanding, and empowerment for every child.
